One in five deaths in Bangladesh cause by arsenic (June 2010)

A 10 year study entitled “Arsenic exposure from drinking water, and all-cause and chronic-disease mortalities in Bangladesh (HEALS): a prospective cohort study” details the harsh effects that arsenic poisoning is having in Bangladesh, finding that almost 20 percent of deaths are caused by arsenic poisoning.
