The DIL Explore grant is a 5k travel grant to support early-stage research in the field of development engineering. It especially aimed at supporting students who want to conduct multi-disciplinary work, for example bringing behavioral sciences into a technology-driven project.
Kathleen’s proposal entitled “Innovative use of combustion diagnostic techniques to assist in advanced biomass stoves designs” was selected. Kathleen will use this grant to travel to the University of Adelaide in South Australia and conduct preliminary work there.
