Gadgil Lab Celebrates Doctoral Graduates

The Gadgil Lab celebrated the graduation of two of its Ph.D. students, Adam Rausch and Katya Cherukumilli on May 16th, 2017. Both graduating from UC Berkeley’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE), Dr. Rausch received his doctorate in Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Dr. Cherukumilli received her doctorate in Environmental Engineering. Dr. Rausch’s thesis focuses on understanding why water treatment interventions in the developing world often fail and on developing a theory for pulse-charged capacitive deionization. Dr. Cherukumilli developed a novel, low-cost technique for fluoride remediation of groundwater.

Above, lead PI Dr. Ashok Gadgil joined Dr. Rausch and Dr. Cherukumilli for their graduation ceremony.
