The DIL-Explore grant is a 5k travel grant provided by the Development Impact Lab (DIL) to support early-stage research in the field of development engineering. It especially aimed at supporting students who want to conduct multi-disciplinary work, for example by bringing behavioral sciences into a technology-driven project. Katya’s proposal, entitled “Fluoride remediation technology for India” , and Caroline’s proposal, entitled “Identifying social drivers of safe water consumption in arsenic-affected areas in West Bengal”, were both selected. Katya and Caroline will use this grant to travel to India and conduct preliminary work there.
